Biedermeier furniture and interior design are recognized today as the first great flowering of haute bourgeois taste in interior design. Biedermeier is a style with great range, from austere to sumptuous, but it is never ostentatious in its celebration of comfort, domestic intimacy, and practicality. Beginning in the early nineteenth century, these bourgeois ideals in design were pursued by a wide range of society from the Hapsburgs and Hohenzollern to the middle class, from Middle Europe to Italy, yet Biedermeier's innate classicism, its lyrical yet elegant forms, have made it an influential inspiration in our own time. John Marsh (designer) - John Marsh was born in Northumberland in the late 1940s, he studied at Ravensbourne College first in furniture design and later in typography and Communication design.

Henry Copland - Henry Copland was a British furniture designer and ornamentalist. In partnership with Mathias Locke during the mid 1700s in London, they produced many furniture designs in the Rococo Furniture Style.

Ettore Bugatti - Automobile designer and manufacturer Ettore Arco Isidoro Bugatti was born on September 15, 1881 in Brescia, Italy, into a notably artistic family that had its roots in Milan. He was the elder son of Teresa Lorioli and her husband Carlo Bugatti (1856–1940), an important Art Nouveau furniture and jewelry designer.
